Northern Wildflowers – Bottle Gentian Seeds (Gentiana andrewsii)
Add a unique native wildflower to your garden with Bottle Gentian, a striking perennial known for its deep blue, bottle-shaped blooms. Unlike many flowers, the petals stay mostly closed, creating a distinctive bottle-like shape that gives this plant its name.
Bottle Gentian is a late-season bloomer, bringing vibrant colour to the garden in late summer and fall when many other plants have finished flowering. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bumblebees and other important pollinators, which are strong enough to enter the closed blooms.
These seeds come from Northern Wildflowers, a Canadian family-owned company dedicated to ethically sourced seeds that help support pollinators and natural landscapes.
